About Lucy

Lucy was educated at Benenden School in Kent where she achieved Grade 8 with distinction in both piano and flute as well as being awarded a music scholarship.  At 17 years old Lucy also became a London finalist for the Young Musician of the Year on the flute.   Lucy continued in her musical education on the piano and flute at The Royal Academy of Music where she trained for her LRAM teaching diploma.

Having worked for many years as a Piano Teacher as well as a Classroom Assistant (at Hurlingham School in Putney and Parsons Green Prep in Fulham), Lucy has developed a natural gift for communicating well with young children.

Most recently Lucy has been teaching children and adults from her home in Fulham and is a peripatetic teacher at Parsons Green Prep.

Parsons Green Prep school was previously called Eridge House.  Lucy is also CRB checked.

Lucy comes from a close, large family and has seven nephews and nieces who she adores.  Her late mother, who used her maiden name, Jill Tookey, was the Creative Director of The National Youth Ballet.  She was awarded with a CBE for her contribution to dance in May 2016.  Lucy is incredibly proud of her mother’s achievements in the dance world.
